Great attention to customer wants and needs. She asked me what I wanted and was able to give that to me. I am a short hair expert and shop hard for new stylists. I need for my haircut to be cute and easy to maintain. I don’t want to spend time on my hair in the mornings. I want to be able to wash and go but look classy and stylish all at the same. Bobby performed a complimentary consult with me about my sad, sad hair situation (as a walk-in!!). I could tell he knows his craft by the ways he talks about options and descriptions we would have regarding the journey (really) re taking my hair fr red-brown all the way back to silver so i could put in lowlights vs worrying frantically about how quickly my roots are going to grow out. What a pain. Bobby was very accommodating and I have a four hour appointment set within the next week for the first leg of my journey. He also saved me from myself. My idea was to take out the brown-red. It’s so happens that that is not the way you do it. So I’m allowing him to be the stylist and I am the client. He does know what he’s doing. I would recommend coming to see anyone at that salon. By the way, I was referred there by the Aveda Stylist for a corrective hair color process, extensions, haircuts, anything that was high-level. And I can tell they were right. Yay!!!

My appointment with Marisa was stellar! They checked in often about my preferences both while shampooing and during the haircut. They also quickly intuited that I’m not a talker and I had a very quiet haircut, which I massively appreciate! I love my haircut, it’s exactly what I wanted. I appreciated the staff accommodating to my schedule through Facebook messenger and allowing me plenty of time to discuss the service requested with stylist Robert. Robert was very nice, professional, and thorough in explaining everything.

I went to see Marisa for the first time today, and I was blown out of the water! I was originally conflicted about what to do with my hair, but after hearing what I wanted/needed from my hair, Marisa gave me a great recommendation, and even got me in for the cut the same day. This was a great experience, especially since my birthday is on the 25th, and I was very much hoping to have a fresh hair cut by then. The environment was cozy and inviting, the staff were personable and energetic, and I loved the owner’s energy when we interacted briefly! My husband is evening in talks with Marisa about getting his hair & beard colored!

As usual at Apotheca, I had a great experience. I LOVED how my hair turned out. Bella showed me easy styling tricks to use with my bangs as someone with coarse hair and a huge cowlick. My hair, as I age (in my early 50s) has been thinning, and she showed me how to style it in a way using hair products that would thicken it. Every time I go to Apotheca, it\'s been worth my time, energy and money. Whether with Irene, Hannah, and now Bella, I always learn new things to do with my hair, and most importantly, just friggin\' feel better about myself and how I present myself to the world. If you\'ve been meaning to get in some self-care time and want to look and feel better, I highly recommend the spacious and beautiful space that is Apotheca!

Nailed it! Oscar did an excellent job on cutting my hair and I am super grateful for his work. I was letting my hair heal from some dyeing and frying trauma over the years. When I booked the appointment as a first time client, (solely based on past client reviews), I did not know what to expect initially. But thankfully Oscar new exactly what he was doing. He really actually listened to what I was saying about what I wanted, and regarded my request for keeping the length on my hair, but also adding in layers and some body (And I am uper picky about who touches my hair!) He totally killed it, and I couldn\'t be happier. Thank you!

Wow! What can I say about Apotheca and my stylist Samaia? The truth is that I could write a ton of overwhelmingly positive comments because it would be super easy to turn this review into a literal \"shower of praise\" for Samaia herself because I absolutely think that she is probably the greatest hair stylist/colorist in the universe. I recently relocated to Austin from some other part of the world and I was sort of nervous and feeling a little uncertain about having to find a new hair stylist after having the same person in San Francisco for the last nine years.... Flash forward and it\'s now three months later and I have been to Apotheca three times and each experience has been outstanding! First and foremost, I have to say that I got SUPER lucky to have been connected randomly with Samaia as my stylist/colorist for my first appointment.... She is such an amazingly genuine person and her demeanor and the attention that she gives toward the haircut experience is something that a stylist either feels naturally or they don\'t because you cannot really teach someone to have an engaging personality.... So Samaia has an incredibly engaging personality and she makes you feel comfortable immediately and then suddenly, before you can even comprehend it, your appointment is finished and your haircut and color is exactly what you wanted and it\'s time to cash out and go back into the world... And, full disclosure, this is the most difficult part of the appointment because Samaia is finished and I am wishing that there was still some more haircut stuff for her to do because I really don\'t want to give up the chair until I can finish telling her whatever story I\'ve been sharing with her throughout my appointment because the whole experience just feels so genuine... So anyway, to sum it up, outstanding haircut, outstanding color, captivating stylist, modern salon space where everyone from the receptionist to other guests waiting for their own appointment are super friendly.... and with all that the prices are reasonable and actually feel like I am getting some sort of discount every time because compared to the prices for the same services in San Francisco Austin is for more affordable and absolutely worth it.

My stylist was Marisa and they did so good, I was offered water as soon as I walked in, they went super in-depth about what I wanted and I think that is part of what made my hair look exactly how I wanted it to! Since I was a first time customer I was offered testers of what they used on my hair, which I love so I’m not pressured into buying stuff on the spot! The environment is just wonderful, even seeing the other employees interact with their customers was joyful! They were having full on conversations and also going really in-depth about what they wanted. I really really love this place and 100% will be back.

I had a haircut with Megan, and I wanted a long shag with some noticeable layers. At other salons when I asked for more shape, they would say “Sure!” and then just snip all my split ends. MEGAN DELIVERED. Her service was wonderful, had a calm conversation throughout, and she never felt like she was pushing me towards products, I ended up taking home some mousse. It was a great experience!

My hair was long and in need of some revival. I asked to have a layered cut, do a few inches, and took the plunge into my first balayage! Monsé gave me the best haircut of my life, and a hydrating treatment really made my hair gel soft and supple. The balayage was awesome and interleaved seamlessly into my hair and really added that little bit of dimension I wanted. I had a follow up just to end up a little darker, but Monsé made me feel comfortable and took great care of me the whole time. 100% going back

This salon is fabulous!! Nit only is it fun and up beat but they are all committed to the best products and techniques and have a couple of honest-to-goodness MASTERS of color and cut here. I would give 15 stars out of 10 if i could!! Highly recommend!!

I was a very anxious walk-in on a busy Saturday, and the staff was so gracious and attentive. Stephani did a botanical treatment on my hair (which smells heavenly btw!), and gave a fabulous hair cut. Despite me being a walk-in, they managed to scoot things around so I could get some much needed assistance. I can’t express just how grateful I am to Apotheca’s staff since my day started off very poorly. I came out of the salon feeling lighter (I have A LOT of hair so trims always help) physically and in an emotional sense. Thanks so much, y’all!

I rarely do anything to my hair. I went for a consult with Hannah-Skye and told her that I need a low maintenance haircut and color because my husband wanted me to try something new with my hair. I told her I didn’t know how or what but I trusted her. She did a balayage and slightly layered cut. My husband and I were very happy with the results. I am greatly appreciated for how she did my hair.

Irene seems totally focused on cutting my hair. After washing my hair (wonderful experience!), she combs and snips until she thinks my haircut is perfect. Then she offers me products for my hair and checks to see if I like how it looks. Then we set up our next two appointments! Very calm, restful experience.

My experience at Apotheca Salon has been great. My stylist, Irene, gives a great haircut and is very knowledgeable of the Aveda products. I\'ve tried two on her recommendation, and I like them both. Everyone there is friendly and laid back, I enjoy talking with them when I come. I\'ve had two haircuts (long-ish straight hair) and took my tween daughter for a cut with her think curly hair. She loved Irene\'s cut, too! They are anxiously awaiting moving into their new location which will help with the traffic jam at the one hair wash bowl. But to me, it\'s still worth the wait when it\'s crowded. 10/10 would recommend.

Irene is warm and welcoming but totally attentive to my styling the hour and a half she was good enough to take on my hair. I love what she did and I feel fabulous. I was first pretty shy being I came all the way from PA to check this out. After sitting through the insane traffic on I-35, I got there. Place was super clean and amazing! I then met my Cosmetologist Nicholas. Who was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable. Managed to take my damaged hair and refresh it with their Vegan products all in one visit. This place has made me so happy and given me an amazing confidence boost. I never been happier! Will recommend and the traffic on I35 was definitely worth the trip! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Can’t wait to go back.
